Harriet Street Entrance - C 1874
This entrance, located to the west of the Arboretum, was opened during 1874 with the development of Harriet Street.

 Digitally enhanced copy of the original drawing from 1840 (most likely by E. B. Lamb) of the proposed entrance at Harriet Street, which gives a clear indication that building plans were already being submitted for the building of Harriet Street by 1840. Note also the spelling of Harriett Street (double 't'), which differs from the present day spelling.

Harriet Street is named after Edward Strutt's wife Harriet Strutt.
